It originates from the Egyptian breed Fayoumi which gives her striking African style colored feathers in addition to high resistance to hot temperatures. The Carminy layer also produces a great number of brown eggs, reaching 318 eggs at 75 weeks, as well as day old chicks you can feather sex.
